General employment opportunities
Great Lakes Packing Company hires team members on an annual basis. Some positions, and the number of individuals we hire for those positions, is contingent upon a particular year's cherry crop abundance - including the processing of sweet, tart and brine cherries. Common positions include forklift drivers, product stackers (manual), machine attendants, visual inspectors (sorting), production trackers, supervisors, truck drivers, sanitizers (cleaning), and office work. Most work is indoors. Daily and seasonal schedules are driven by the fruit's perishable qualities and the rate of deliveries from nearby farms.

Specific employment opportunities
Great Lakes Packing Company also occasionally has employment opportunities available for individuals suited for particular positions within our organization. While these opportunities may be seasonal, some are full-time, year-round positions. Those who live locally, and those intending to move to our geographic area, are encouraged to apply for the following positions.
